Paint with extension .NET in final version 3.10 2007-08-24
For recall, resulting from a éponyme project initiated at the university of the State of Washington and supported by Microsoft, the Paint.NET software coded in C# and under Open licence Source, has as an ambition to provide to the user lambda relatively advanced tools allowing the final improvement of images.
Less advanced than Photshop or Gimp whose version 2.4 is awaited for soon, Paint.NET offers on the other hand much more possibilities than basic Microsoft Paint integrated of office in any Windows environment and of which it is often regarded as the successor. Then not to deprive itself as much in replacement, of this free software available under Windows Vista or XP with Framework .NET 2.0 installed.

Put on line yesterday, the final version 3.10 of Paint.NET results in its batch of corrections of bugs and other improvements among which the assumption of responsibility of the format of file DirectDraw Surface (DDS), the integration of several filters (effect of softening for the portaits, effect of sketch to ink), dealt with of problem of crash landing of the application under Vista at the time of the safeguard of file to the too long name,…. According to RoadMap, next version 3.20 of Paint.NET which will require Framework .NET 3.0, should bring the support of the format of file HD Photo of Microsoft and more facility for the developers in creation of plugins.
