Seven companies joined for all the mobile devices

Seven companies prepare a common standard of software layer, which should facilitate the development of applications on the portable telephones and other mobile devices, announces the Wall Street Journal of October 4.

This group of companies - of which Texas Instruments, Samsung Electronics Co. and Marvell Technology Group form part - intend to exploit the processors developed by English company ARM.

The latter are already largely employed in the portable telephones. But some of the companies which employ it make them undergo light modifications, according to Warren East, directing general of ARM.

Result: the hope of this group
